Boarding Concern
“Boarding Concern challenges the practice of educating children in residential institutions, based on the growing evidence of harm from boarding.” It also offers a support service for ex-boarders, and can help people find therapeutic professionals and counselling. Boarding Concern also has a great database of written and broadcast material on the issues that arise from childhood trauma or the after-effects of boarding experiences.

National Confidential Forum
Independent organisation set up by the Scottish government to ensure that people abused in boarding schools or other residential care are listened to and their experiences acknowledged. Provides expert, caring help and will assist anyone who wishes to take a complaint forward to the police or other bodies.
